I installed Spybot on my PC, run the scan, clean up spy, reboot the PC and the f***ing crappy page still there.I ran again the scan and Spybot told me everything is ok
Sub, what's the address of the offending page? My brother had something similar happen one time and there was actually a specialized removal tool just for this one application. This might be the same thing.
When I try to hit that URL, I get a similar error message, indicating that the browser was not able to connect to the web server at that address. The error page I get is slightly different, but your picture shows "Internet Explorer provided by Allstream" Maybe the site you had set to be your home page is down.Your homepage should be set to http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...reads anyway.
It dies nor work with any URL...I change it in IE setting.I open it once, got my new home page, but the second time I open IE, I got the other Home page I do not want
Alrighty. This appears to be some sort of virulent application alright. It's a javascript that is loaded each time from the system registry. From what I can find (translating from German so it's sketchy reading) no spyware scanner is successful in removing it. So, the research continues. Hang in there Sub, one of us will get you an answer.

Download both of the applications form that page (Hijack This and CWShredder) what Hijack misses, CWShredder should get. Let us know if it does.

Spyware are thing that you contract over the net, like a virus or a worm.It chance some config in you PC.For me, it changed my home page in my IE. It was not really affecting my PC (all was working well) but I was totally unable to change my Home page from the one given by the Spy.By chance, I have the wonderfull people on GenVibe to help me and resolve my trouble. Thanks again
Official sounding definition:Spyware is a generic term typically describing software whose purpose is to collect demographic and usage information from your computer, usually for advertising purposes. The term is also used to describe software that 'sneaks' onto the system or performs other activities hidden to the user. Spyware apps are usually bundled as a hidden component in mis-labeled "freeware" and shareware applications downloaded from the Internet

Yeah, I had some spyware hijack my homepage, too. I downloaded a program from LavaSoft and it took care of it for me. I really hate the homepage hijackers.
