Front end cover is looking pretty beaten up

Post by pmh013 »

I have an OEM front end cover. I've noticed that there are little tears in it already (I've only had it 7 months). I suspect that they are from rocks, hitting the frozen material. Anyone else seen this?I guess I'm glad ... can you imagine what my paint would look like?

When the sun rises, I'll head outside & snap some photos. I've been too busy at work the last couple of weeks... my recreational websurfing has been pretty much zilch. Now that things have slowed down for a few days, I can go back to spending company time persuing my personal endeavours.

OK, before we start... I had to drive through some ugly ice-fog/rain this morning, so the whole front end of my car was coated with ice when I went out take pictures. Nice.Anyway, this picture shows a pretty nasty one right at the bottom edge of my bumper, beside the front plate. There's a bunch all along that edge.

This is just a general shot of the front end. You can see just how many tears/punctures there are. Of course, the photo does not do the damage justice.

OK, last picture. This is actually the first damage I noticed. This big puncture is on the side, above the wheel well. So, does anybody know what the deal is with warranty on after-market parts? Do you think I can get a new cover out of the deal? Probably, the new one would sustain the same damage as the old one.
