Jeeps Anyone?

Post by fuel4soul »

For awhile I have had a love for 97+ Jeep Wranglers, I wanted one from when I first turned 16. I know the are more for off-roading, loud, bumpy, cold/hot and leaky...but anyone else like these and have stories about them? Do you like them or are they bad cars?

I like them, but if I owned one I would not use it for everyday driving. When I sold cars, I test drove some Wranglers and man were they loud! You would have to shout to each other almost just to talk. It was actually quieter with the top off. It would be cool to go off roading in one, but that would be the only reason I would want one.

I love Jeep Wranglers...It's one of the few SUV's I would ever buy. My dad has a dark purple '00 Wrangler. When ever it snows alot he flips it into 4wd and blows past all the people digging out their cars lol.If you ever get a Wrangler though don't get the 4 cyl., get the v-6. The 4 cyl. is horrible. We went up to Houghton Lake MI. once and we had to cross the Zilwalkee bridge ( A huge arched causeway over a shipping chanel) It was a bit windy and snowy. The jeep was having a terrible time trying to climb the bridge.

One of my ex's from a few years ago had one...she loved it, I hated it. It was like driving a panel van. Noisy and uncomfortable and j. Didn't give me that "homey" feeling a car does with carpet and a nice interior. I know that's not it's purpose, but that's how I like my cars. Warm, cozy, and welcoming...

if you want Aa jeep for offroading you better get an older one. talk to any jeep dealer today and they will tell you that todays jeep are not made like they used to be. look for sometrhing used but not abused in the late 80's.

Not a jeep, but I learned to drive stick in an old Toyota Land Crusier, the wrangler type one. ALso learned about seat belts in that thing. It had a vinyl bench seat, and I took a turn too fast and ended up on the passsenger side. If I had wrecked my brother's toy, he would have killed me.That type of vehicle is a blast, but will beat you to death as a daily driver.
