Ontario meets in the works?

Post by ragingfish »

Just curious, I know it's still early...very early...but has anyone in Canada started planning meets for the spring? I am determined to come to as many as I can, and the more notice I have to notify my employer of the time off, the better off I am...plus, getting hotels weeks ahead is always better than days ahead. Looking forward to it guys and gals!

If there was more to do in this one horse town I live in, I'd try and organize the meet here at the dealership I work at. We do have many hotels and resturants but thats about it heh.

I think that all of the ontario Vibers are away for the winter, so once the weather starts to get better we will have to get a run together just to get everyone back into the swing of things. Also a good reason to spend the time getting the cars clean again.Right now -21 C before the wind chill so it is hard to even think about being outside for too long

Just checked.... -24c here and still dropping.... we're supposed to set some record tonight. *shrug* Not that it bugs me -- I'm originally from Thunder Bay and we're used to it. Guess I'll see how the battery does in the morning! I'd really like to get to an actual Vibe owners meet -- not just us added onto a Matrix owners thing.... not that I have anything against them! far from it -- it's just so far it just seems to be us tacking ourselves onto their meets.Anyway - a meet sounds good sometime soon!

Once the weather is warmer and the cars have a better chance of staying clean would be the best time for sure. I hate the cold so ontario setting a cold record is not impressing me in the least. But my Vibe with its "lawn tractor" battery fires up every time.I'd like to see a few Matrix cars at a meet but I say tack their meet onto ours heh.

Well -- a little over a 7 1/2 hour drive for me, but I could be persuaded I suppose :-> Never been to Montreal.....There'd have to be a car washing party at the end of the trip though!

I'd go to MTL for a meet, Hey Altus, we could meet and cruise up in our cars together. I've driven there many times. And its about a 5.5 hour trip from Woodstock to MTL at 120km all the way up 401/20And speaking of this cold... my car started but my brother's van didn't heh... We had to push it out onto the street so I could get my car out and go to work.

I am helping to organize a car meet in London Ontario with a date to be announced soon Its for all makes of cars, most have been modified. It would be really cool to get a Vibe group to show up there. I will have more info in the next days/week and will keep you informed if anyone in ontario is interested.
