I think the server became so overwhelmed it wouldn't let me get to it before.Has anyone flipped through all 27 pages of posts and seen how many places in the world that thread reached? I think it set a record for any enthusiast forum ever...I left a token of our sympathies...whether or not we are all sympathetic. Car lovers must unite, no?http://forums.mbworld.org/foru...er=28

If the Benz was a convertible, you'd think that seagulls had been roosting in it. I,d bring it to a good detailer and ask for mercy!

Rule #1 - paints....leave them in the trunk....not in the back seat...or stupidily enough under the car seat.....sucks to be him....but I feel for him.

As much as I want to say DUHHHHH, I don't, because I recall vividly my oil stain incident......so I've been there...just on a MUCH smaller scale.

I was trying to remember who had the oil incident. Hope that you got the stain out eventually.Couldn't store the paint in the trunk in a Vibe, but there has to be a better place than under the driver's seat. Too bad he trashed the interior of his expensive car. Now he has a car with a custom paint job. It is odd the way there are big thick blobs on the steering wheel but more typical spray patterns elsewhere. If something like that happened in a Vibe, not nearly as many people would care. Some of the interest that incident got must be because it was a mercedes.

I think it would have been easier to get a gallon of that paint and spray the entire interior so that everything would match.

Wow, that interior is trashed. Lacquer thinner would take the paint off everything except the fabric. Probably nothing he can do about that except replace the seats. I want to know how he got it ALL OVER the entire interior. If I punctured a can of spray paint, the LAST thing I'd do would be to pull it out of the bag and swing it around the inside of the car while it sprayed everywhere.
