Vibe Look-a-like????

Post by SgrPlum »

Have any of you seen the new Mazda 3 5-door model (Hatchback)? Maybe I'm way off, but it looks just like the Vibe to me!I tried posting some pics but I'm not sure how to do that! Here is a link to the site:http://www.mazdausa.com Check out the gauges too... very similar. Here is a link with another pic and some info: http://www.usatoday.com/money/...x.htmI think this car is smaller than the Vibe... but when I saw it, it reminded me of the Vibe a lot! Almost same exact price too.~Sarah

I've gone to see every car out there, yet still will be purchasing the Maxx. The Mazda 3 has a much nicer interior than the Vibe and it has a telescoping steering wheel and much better leg room. On the (big) downside however, if you want a 2 seater, buy a Miata. The Mazda 3 has NO rear passenger room. The Vibe wins big time there. For do it yourselfers, like me, Mazda seems bent on making you take your car into a mechanic (their's of course) for any repair, to include oil changes. Mazda put their usual plastic shroud underneath, prohibiting you from getting to the oil filter. Again, for do it yourselfers, the Vibe wins hands down. All Mazdas are about one thing: looks. Between the Vibe and 3, if it is looks you want, buy a Mazda; if it is functionality you want, the Vibe wins by a long shot.

My father in law has the Malibu (non Maxx, but with the V6). That thing rocks... not my style though. The interior is VERY nice, though.Dude...now i'm eying the Mazda 3.. Demmit! It's so pretty!

What a coincidence, I was just checking out the Mazda 3 on Mazda's website before I journeyed back here. Then I remembered that some local Mazda and Nissan dealers were having a price war going on for new RX 8's and 350Z's. Could get either one for around $25K according to ads in the paper. That's only about $3K more than sticker on my Vibe! Man, I love both of those cars. Maybe after I graduate next year .

Is it me or does that red sport/hatchback looking thing in the Saturn comercials look a lot like a Vibe as well?? You know, the commercial with the three business suits going to some meeting, getting in a hurry and passing peeps, then at the last screen they are mellowing out to some tunes or somthing like that....
