Printers and Networks Help!

Okay I'm a self proclaimed network dummy so I need some help. I have a linksys wireless connection between my desktop and my laptop. I just bought a Canon i860 photo printer. Its connected to my desktop. How do I get it so I can send print jobs to it from my laptop? I tried adding printer while on my laptop, but it can't see it, so I know I must be missing some important step. Can anyone tell me what I've not done?Thanks!

What operating system are you running on the desktop?

Both are XP.

D'oh! I figured out what I did wrong - I had forgot to set the printer as shared!! GRR!

Yup, that was my first instinct...I was gonna walk you through it, so I wasn't sure what OS you were running...Did you fix it?

Yup! Now I'm testing the pictbridge function and printing a 4x6 photo of my cats licking each other. Its fun!

I tried posting the photo twice, but I don't see either post when I look at genvibe. The thread says it was last updated by me, but I can't see my posts.
