Vibe's first Xmas and ski trip

Post by aggie_vibe »

I had to load the Vibe yesterday for four upcoming xmas stops and a ski trip to New Mexico on the 26th. With the seats folded, there is still room for some big gifts I hope to receive I have fit some crazy stuff in the last few months: I've remodeled my first floor with 600 lbs of laminate wood flooring and 900 lbs of slate and mortor (multiple trips). I replaced my baseboards and the pieces were 12' each with 4' hanging out the pop up hatch window.I know I should post pics, but I also used the Lowes Home store grey rubber stuff for the cargo floor and seatbacks (highly recommend for about $40). I used a bunch of velcro to hold it in place and I will eventually cut some holes to use the tracks.

Hope you had a nice holiday and ski trip - always interesting to see what Vibe owners are hauling in their Vibe.. the possibilities are virtually endless (under reasonable circumstances of course). If you do have pics of your hauling adventures or trip, post them up.

The Vibe handled wonderful in the snow and minus temperatures. A steady 30-40 mph wind made the trip to New Mexico interesting. Combined with altitude and hills, 3rd gear was sometimes required to keep at 70 mph!! Overall trip mileage was 35 mpg, so no complaints. The transmission and clutch were sluggish butr warmed up.
