Vibe family... (my mom just got one too)

I guess my car left quite an impression on my folks... cause I got an e-mail this week from my dad with pics of my mom's new '04 Neptune AWD Vibe. They traded in her Pontiac Montana on Saturday. She's excited cause it's all loaded, every option except nav (she got the 6-disc). They live up in Buffalo, and it's already snowing there... I guess mom will get to try out the AWD's snow-n'-go ability sooner than she thought!Pete

I have an AWD in Chicago. This will be our first winter with it, but we really haven't had any snow yet. I'd appreciate hearing how well the AWD Vibe does in snow with the standard tires. I have thought about getting snow tires, but was hoping the all-season tires would be good enough.

Lol just like my mom! I bought my Vibe in April and in July my mom bought a practicaly identical Vibe! Only thing different is that she doesn't have side air bags or anti lock breaks!

I know that my mom is interested in an AWD Vibe as well. She's just waiting for her employment situation to become a bit more stabile and my step-dad is currently laid off. They have both of their cars paid for and she doesn't want a car payment just yet. Her '99 Alero is still in great shape and runs very well so she doesn't actually need a new car yet. She liked the Buick Rendezvous and wanted to buy one, but the price was more than she wanted to spend. Then I got my Vibe. After taking her and my step-dad for a few rides in it and showing them how versitile the cargo carrying options are, she is strongly considering a Vibe. Hard to beat the fuel economy, too.

My mom has one too! She was actually the one looking for a new car about a year ago, so I went with, she drove a PT Cruiser, I drove the Vibe, loved it, and went and bought it the next day. She like it so much she went the next week and got herself one. Atleast they're not the same color! Mine is Frosty and her's is Neptune! The dealer wanted to do a comercial with us, but I just laughed!

I got mine right before Thanksgiving last year and she liked it so much that she got one this past summer. Mine is Frosty and hers is Abyss (sport package and all).
