only grill I've seen is on ebay, but it just fastens to the existing grill with zip ties and it's $75

Yep, that's the one, It looks good, just don't care for the whole zip tie thing I'd much rather find one that actually replaces the existing grill, maybe I'll try to make one

http://www.cloud-rider.com sells Vibe grill inserts. I would bet they last over the winter because that place sells winter ones also.

Finally got my grills today from mrgrille.com. It took 2 months because of a screw up in shipping. They look pretty good. I'll install them when the temperature goes above -13F. The grills are surprisingly small when they are off the car.

So do they replace the existing plastic grills or fit over them?

Just installed my grills, what a piece of cake. I did the job in the dark at -15c and they fit great and look fantastic. I can't wait to remove the front license plate bracket when I get my Quebec plate.

Yeah I want to put on a real grill not a tie on. It might look good put I rather wait till something comes out that replaces the current one.

I don't know, 100 bucks seems a lot for something that doesn't "bolt on". Don't get me wrong I thingk they look awsome, I just don't like the zip tie thing.

I agree. Rather wait the time and get a real grill besides with sales up on the Vibe (higher than matrix) im sure someone will think about it and make them. Can't be too long.

This may be heresy but i want a a chrome honeycomb design grille with the TRD emblem on it.Has anybody thought about removing their grilles and painting them with an enamel paint (for strength). maybe body color match or silver... just a thought.

yes it has already been done. if you do a search on painted grill... you'll probably get a few hits. i painted mine this summer to red, but didn't like as much. i know someone did paint theirs to chrome, but don't know how the paint was holding up. i also would like a honeycomb grill w/ trd on it, similar to the one available for the trix and also one like i had on my ivan stewart tundra... but they don't make them. best you can do is paint the grill if you're so inclined to do and then get a trd badge to stick on...

I've had my grills on through the winter and they are holding up quite well, they look great. On a side note you couls always buy a CF TRD sticker and place it on these grilles, TRd being Toyota's line I don't think we'll see many if any grilles for our car that feature the Trd badge. BEsides people still ask me why I have Trd emblems on my car when it's a Pontiac. Here's a pic.

I can make them... My ? would be how big is the demand and how much would one be willing to pay for bolt on grills? I just bought my Vibe, 04' GT Fusion Orange. And I planned on making grills out of 6061 T-6 Aluminum and anodizing it Orange. Let me know what yall think... I can pretty much make it in any design/color, of course the harder the design the more it will cost. and I can personaly check all for correct fitness

well, i'd be interested in one more similar to the TRD grill. but stainless or polished.if you make one, i'd recommend beta testing it first on yours, posting some pics and showing us what you can do. but fair warning, we are all very skeptical of anyone (especially new members) trying to sell things here. we've had some bad luck w/ scammers. definitely make some up, maybe diff variations to give us ideas. i know that i would be interested if i could see what you are talking about. PICS are a must!
