Vibe Accident #2

Post by disneydj »

Had the second accident in the Vibe last night. Boy I can hear my insurance rates rise as I'm typing this. I swerved to miss a cargo can that decided to cut across three lanes to make a sudden left turn. Struck the elevated curp at about 40 mph, and knocked my left wheel off the strut. Fortunatley the 8.1 inches of clearance the Vibe has saved me from crushing my Intake, and damaging the body of the car. Amazingly the tire is in great shape, no rupture, but the front rim is trashed. So I guess I'll start the new 2 accidents club!

And we have major snow in the forecast for the next few days...Gonna go out and buy some armour for emily...make sure she's not getting hurt again!!!!Sad thing is, even in FL, with his two accidents, his insurance is probably still less than mine would be with a perfect record in NJ...

ouch! i've had quite a few close calls in mine but so far no accidents (knock on wood). i drive very defensively, and always look for a way to avoid a sudden stop. never was in any kind of accident until i had my tundra. then it was like everyone hit me or something!justin, sorry to hear about your vibe again. my tundra had 3 different rear bumpers on it and i still have a spare in my garage... disney, hopefully not too much damage to the vibe. good thing you didn't lower it!
