I either rev to f-ing high and burn the crap out of the clutch or drop it to quickly and bog it! I guess I'm just use to my stage-2 in my sunfire. talk about hook up! guess i'll just have to keep practicing!any thoughts?
hard, about 1 month...i've got the 1 to 2 landing in lift down, just can't get a good start. my partner's got rsx type-s and i can pull on him hard in third, but forget it off the line. at least for now, until i get the start down...once that happens, it'll be close!
thats my problem with it, the car has absolutey no rear end. anything with more than 150ft-lbs low end will beat you off the line, but come high end your golden, thats why i want a supercharger to help with low-endyogi

That's one problem with a high revving engine... clutch life. The only way around bogging is to slip the clutch in the powerband. With practice you can keep the slippage to a minimum but, to launch hard means some clutch abuse. Just don't go too hard on it!!! I actually smoked my clutch on my bike (yup, small cloud of smoke... freeked me out) launching at 8,000 and being to afraid to let it out faster, I blew the clutch... yikes!

Ya, With The GT it took me a few weeks to get it right. Not having a stick for all these years and getting use to the high revs was getting to me.The best launch for me was to bring the tach to 5000 and hold if for a few seconds...........Ita a Yamaha it likes this. Let the clutch out easy while you punch the gas. You will get some wheel spin, but not much, and now you will get the valve lift at 6000. I would rather wear out the clutch plates a bit than dump it and damage the gears.I had no luck in reving to 8000 and dumping the clutch, way too much spin and torque steer. You sit there and spin while you rival is two car lenghts ahead.Thats my two cents.
