GM in the Driveway Questions + Some AWD

Post by t9mike »

Hi. Anybody know whether the "Supplier" price on a dealer's invoice includes the standard $560 destination charge? Haven't got that far with the dealer yet and want to be prepared if they try to pull a fast one. If it is not then the "GM in the Driveway" price does not seem that great. Also, wondering if $300 extra charge to transport a Vibe via trailer from a delaer approx. 330 miles away sounds appropriate? I want an AWD version but my Dallas/Fort Worth dealers have very few in stock.I'm a bit gunshy on the AWD. I have not been able to test one at the dealer I've been working with. A couple other nearby look to have 1 in stock each so I'll have to check them out (but don't want to waste the sales guys time too much since I want to stick with the dealer I started with and is closest to me).I want the "Safety" package with the side air bags but that option seems rare here, so I think regardless my Vibe will have to be searched for.We have a '96 Audi A4 we will be getting rid of for the Vibe. The occasional repair problem is making the A4 more trouble than it is worth. I don't expect the Vibe's AWD to be as good as the A4's Quattro, but board searches indicate most people are happy. I'll stop rambling now. Thanks for any help/insight.Cheers,-Mike

I don't know if the GM in the Driveway price is the same as the GM supplier price, but if it is the price on the invoice that the dealer should show you, will include everything including the destination charge. Here in Illinois we even have a mandatory advertising fee (from what I understand never tried to argue against it even shows up on KBB invoice pricing) and that is also included in the GMS price as well. I just used a GM Supplier letter to buy my Vibe this past weekend. Very easy car buying experience.

The GM in the Driveway price is the same as the GM supplier price. I am not sure on the destination. I could not get a copy to verify.

If the GM in the Driveway price is the same as the Supplier Discount then I am sure the GMS price that is shown on the invoice includes the destination charge. At least it did on my invoice last Saturday.
