Yeah, I think it would kick our little Vibe's (removed). I get to drive a Porsche GT2 when I learn how to drive a stick. 545hp 180mph I can't wait.

lol no way! lol I have to learn how to drive a stick on something else and then I get to drive the Porsche. This friend of my mom's I allways argue with about which is better,Ferrari or Porsche so he said "well when you get your liscense I promise I'll let you drive my new Porsche GT2 and we'll see which is better then" I called him up the day I got my liscense and he said I could when I learn to drive a stick. i've been looking forward to this for a long time:)

Quote, originally posted by MrRich »Are you sure you want to learn to drive a stick on a 545HP sports car?O,i don't know! This made me laugh. The first stick I drove was a late 1960's Cushman utility vehicle that was about 8 HP and had 3 on the tree. We used it at the golf driving range I used to work at for hauling all kinds of things around the site. I remember being sad when it finally died, the carbureteur finally wore out and the thing was too old to get replacement parts for. Then I learned how to drive the compact farm tractors that they had. One was an old Ford 8 speed, then we got 2 new ones that were both 12 speeds. Now I drive everything where I work now. Backhoes, bulldozers, graders, front loaders, forklifts, CAT excavators, Mack dumptrucks, and our Frieghtliner with the lowboy trailer just to name a few. I don't have a commercial driver's liscense so I'm not allowed to drive the big trucks on public roads. But I do have to drive them around our lot at work and sometimes on jobsites. I like driving/operating them all. Except for the 2 street sweepers that the boss bought about a year ago. Those things are incredibly noisy inside and are a pain to drive/operate. It's an interesting job to have while I'm in college.

Pittsburgh Asphalt Company. We are primarily a paving contractor, but we also get into other things like excavating and hauling. In the wintertime, we have contracts to plow and salt shopping centers, etc. That's when I have the job of detailing all our trucks and equipment and helping a guy I work with to do body repairs and repainting of our truck fleet. In the summer, I am sent out on the work crews where I usually am sent to work on the finishing part of paving jobs. I will occasionally be required to operate heavy machinery on jobsites. I also work some evenings in the summer preparing our yard and vehicles for the next morning so I have to load the construction equipment on trailers and have to know how to properly chain them down so they don't come loose during transport. I also often have to load the dumptrucks with the materials that need to be delivered to the job first thing in the morning, and sometimes I have to load them on the jobsite with materials that have to be removed from the site. I've been friends with the company owner's son since I was about 12 and have known the family since then. I work there mostly because I generally like my boss and he is very flexible with me to work around my school schedule. I may be changing jobs this summer if I can, sometimes the crew work in the summer is brutal in the heat. I am going to try to get a job through my school in an office downtown or something.
