I was visiting a Pontiac dealer's lot today, looking at what Vibes were in stock. There were two base Neptune Vibes, each with the Monotone appearance pkg. One had the Monotone option priced at $325, as expected, but the other car was priced at $500! Both were the official factory stickers. Was there an announcement on this? Have any other prices changed? - ESJ

quote:$500 was the original price. It went to $325 in late August. Out of the 21 (!) Vibes at a local dealer today, I saw one with the old price. Thanks for the clarification. I think I can be forgiven for just assuming it was a price increase instead of a decrease!- ESJ

The price decrease on the Monotone Package was August 15th. It was posted here about that time. It included a decrease on all cars in dealer inventory. Dealers were shipped new price stickers with the lower price and received credits for the reduction.
OK-If the reduction was August 15-- I wonder if I am entitled to a refund since I paid $500.00 for mine on Sept 3rd.I'll talk to dealer and see and let you all know---OR has anyone else experienced this? James

James You probably got taken by the oldest trick in their box. Make you pay the higher price and keep the incentive from GM. They made double the difference and I bet you won't see a dime, but then again fraudulent window stickers might be a big deal if you talk to the right people
