Clarification needed on Vive aux input
Hi. I've read recent threads about aux input but am a bit confused due to the various HU options and any '04 (XM ready) vs. old '04 (no XM) issues.I'm looking to buy a new '04 Vive. Was going to get the standard "free" radio+CD.Is it possible to use one of the converters like those found at LOGJAMELECTRONICS.COM? Is my aux input harness 12 pin or 9 pin?It has been a week since I looked at the car and I can not even remember if the base radio has an AUX/XM switch of some kind or CD changer capability. I believe, and allow me to be corrected, that the input on the back of the Vibe units are all 12 pin.I'd suggest if you want, you can get the PIE X3 12pin adapter from http://www.xmfanstore.com , and if it doesn't work with the system, you can return it with no problem.
