Not sure. It was as you can see installed on a Celica. I have e-mail the manufacturer and am waiting on a reply.

I would love to put on a turbo or super charger...but wont they eat up a stock engine and trans? What do I need to do to them so the Chargers can be used without hurting my baby. I know next to nill bout them cause a dual carb v8 was always good enough for me before the vibe.

Hi ThereThe supercharger detailed above is on my car, its been developed as a kit for the Toyota Celica VVTi and should soon be available for that car.Unfortunately we don't get the Vibe in the UK so we are a bit stuck as to how to check and test this out. A couple of things might well help, for a kick off a picture of the engine bay would be useful, perhaps one of the bay in general, and a more detailed shot of the left hand front portion, where you can see my charger is mounted. Also if someone can get the part number for the alternator that would also be a big help. What I would like to do is take a look at these pictures and see what the bay is like, if its a definite no chancer it should be fairly obvious. After all, we have done a lot of work on the 1ZZ, mine is in bits in my garage at the moment waiting for a set of bearing shells to arrive, I know this engine inside out, quite literally Any help could end up being good for you.Cheers

Ok, thanks for the pics.Initial observations, at the front left of the engine bay there is a tube with a rad cap on it, I presume this is for filling the coolant via the radiator? If so is this fixed in place or is it a bolted on tube?Secondly it looks like the aircon pipes would be in the way, especially the one on the left that loops in over the belts. It doesn't look like the standard bracket we use would fit, although the mountings would almost certainly be the same, these points above my well stop it from fitting.Could someone measure the distance from the front edge of the alternator to the first thing on the front slam panel, probably the fans on the radiator, as straight a line as possible, it'll give me rough idea of the area we have to work in.Also a measurement from the top back of the cam cover to the front scuttle would be useful, it looks like you have a much larger space to work in there so it could be possible to mount the charger at the back of the engine instead. Many thanks

Please forgive me if my terminology is rough or inaccurate. If you need more information than what I am presenting, please let me know and I will do my best.quote:Initial observations, at the front left of the engine bay there is a tube with a rad cap on it, I presume this is for filling the coolant via the radiator? If so is this fixed in place or is it a bolted on tube?Yes, that is what I would assume also. The tube is fixed into place and integrated onto the radiator. Click the thumbnail picture below to see a detailed image with dimensions and some other information directly typed onto the image.NOTE: If you are using later versions of Internet Explorer, you may want to disable (uncheck) the "Enable Automatic Image Resizing" option under Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab>Multimedia area. These images are rather large and are best viewed at their maximum (100%) sizing.quote:Secondly it looks like the aircon pipes would be in the way, especially the one on the left that loops in over the belts.Yes, it goes directly over the belts to the back of the engine bay.quote:Could someone measure the distance from the front edge of the alternator to the first thing on the front slam panel, probably the fans on the radiator, as straight a line as possible, it'll give me rough idea of the area we have to work in.See the thumbnail listed above for those dimensions.quote:Also a measurement from the top back of the cam cover to the front scuttle would be useful, it looks like you have a much larger space to work in there so it could be possible to mount the charger at the back of the engine instead.Click the following thumbnail for measurement details on this area:If you need more measurements, let me know.

Thanks for that, I am awaiting a new style of SC to come from Rotrex, once I have it I'll know a bit more about the fitting in this car. Front of the engine like on my car is a definite no chance though, I am thinking rear of the engine at the top betwenn the head cover and the bonnet.

Because I know some one is going to ask what the heck is a bonnet I'll just explain now. It's the hood. They call the hood of the vehicle a bonnet over in the UK.
