i dislike the blinky passenger seatbelt light. If i disable it (by unhooking it in the back like when you install a sterio) that doesnt have anything to do with any safety features such as the airbags does it?

No, it will not affect anything. I unhooked mine a while ago.

i've had mine unplugged since the week i had my car...no problems yet
