Taking off the compartment to the left of the steering wheel

Post by finga »

Hello all,I have been a lurker in the forums for a while this is my first post. Today I managed to get my parking ramp swipe card behind the little compartment to the left of the steering wheel. There is a little space above it and it slid right down the back. Can someone tell me how to get off the door so I can get in there and get it out. I am hoping it is easy because I want to be able to leave work today Thanks so much,Rob

Welcome, glad you're an ex-lurker!Once you open the compartment all the way, there are a couple of bumps on the compartment that keep it from opening too far,you have to work it side to side a little to get those to clear the opening, then just yank it up and back.EDIT - Sub-Vibe-R (below) is right, it's easier to pull it loose and then get the two tabs past the opening than it is to get the tabs out and then pull it up.
