Hi -Well I'm so mad that I could scream, so i'm going to type instead. I went out this morning to start my car and let it warm up a little bit and noticed tire tracks all over my lawn. So I walked to the passenger side of my car and realized that someone had taken the whole passenger door out. I'm so crabby and mad. It happened sometime between 11:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. I think that my neighbor is the culprit, but we'll see what the cops figure out.Just had to vent!
That is terrible. You should go ask your neighbor if they knew of anything. Don't accuse them, but just be like hey, did you see anything crazy going on last night out front? See what they say
Good friggin grief....I seriously hope the cops figure out who did this... Sorry about the damage/losshave you contacted your insurance company? any idea if this will effect you negatively as far as your insurance premium is concerned?

I did contact my insurance man and he told me to hang tight to see if anything turns up. The problem is that #1 I know that the neighbor doesn't have insurance (I live in Montana where if you don't have insurance you get a fine for $270 and no big deal, which drives me crazy!) and #2 I know that he doesn't have any money. So regardless I've just kind of decide that I'm screwed one way or another. I'm heading out with my flashlight and digital camera as soon as he gets home though!!

Does your Neighbor have any known issues with reckless driving? If it was your neighbor why didn't he or she contact you or leave a note to the car. in regards to your insurance, what if nothing turns up, will they take care of the problem as a no-fault claim?Seems to me your neighbor if he/she infact hit yuour car should be fined/charged or whatever the case may be. It will be a wake up call if anything plus anything that can prove that this accident was not at your fault. Its a good idea to take photos

Sorry to hear about your car what a AAAAAAAAAAA'''''this person should had left a note to get ahold of you, people like this should be stretched out across a road and used as a speed bump"
This takes place I think in 98 or 99. My wife's (then girlfriend) 96 Neon was parked in front of my parents house in rural Waynesfield, Ohio (near Lima). She went out in the morning to grab her bible on the way to church and I heard her scream. I ran out to see what was going on and found the whole drivers side of the car was gone. Someone had driven down the road and sideswiped the car with enough force to peal the metal skin off of the back door and the front door of the car. The mirror was 300 ft down the road. We never found out who did it, but she got the car back three or four weeks later.
Unfortunately, generally when something like this happens, it is done by someone who has no insurance and no money to pay for the damage. They figure that they have nothing to lose by fleeing the scene. If they are caught, there is not much that can be done to them, sadly. (Except beat the **** out to them---that's my solution.) Depending on the laws of the state, this should be considered a no-fault claim on your part. Damage to a parked car that is legally parked is not the responsibility of the car's owner. This happened to my cousin several times. He used to live on a narrow side street and often parked on the corner. The corner of his rear bumper was taken out 3 or 4 times within a year by careless/drunken drivers during the night. Not once did any of the drivers who hit his car leave a note or come knock on the door. It wasn't the same person because the color of the paint from the other car was different each time. Just goes to show that there are too many ignorant a--holes out there smashing up cars. Best wishes on getting your car fixed and the situation resolved. I hope everything works out for you.

Well the truck that I'm sure hit me still hasn't returned since Thursday morning. No sign of it. That certainly leads me to believe that he had part in in. I wonder where he's hiding it out at? I think that I'm going to head over there tomorrow and ask what happened to the red truck in the back. I'll keep you posted.

Wow, I can't believe someone would do that to another person's car and not stop. Be careful about going over there. If they could pull something like that, no telling what else they could do.

I'd be over there (with back-up) in a heart beat! Especially if they had some answers! Can't the cops go question them?
