After searching for a couple of months, I finally got the Vibe. It took me a while to find a Vibe with options that I want. Thanks everyone on the Genvibe for helping me decide. And special thanks to michaelgt for sending me the "GM in the Driveway" certificate. Here's what I got.04 Satellite Base, monotone, automatic, power package, ABS, side airbags, alarm, 6 cd changer. Alarm and 6 cd changer were extras that came with ABS and side airbags, but I am beginning to really like the 6 cd changer. And you can't beat the price!!MSRP 20370.00 -2250 manuf rebate-400 recent graduate rebate-3788 GM credit card rebate + tax & licence = 14550 out the door.I showed the car to my co workers and they all like it a lot. It's a great car!!
Woohoo! :DAmazing price for the Vibe!Just think, you got the price of a Scion, but the looks and quality of a superior Vibe So, when are ya gonna start modding it up and sending the lot of us pics to drool over?
Agree, there's no way I can get any other decent car for the same price or even at 3000 to 4000 more.I do not think I am going to do much mods besides tint and maybe alloy rims. I will try to take pictures and post them.
how did you get $3788 on your GM card? thought the limit is only $3500.did u pay MSRP? or did you pay "GM in the Driveway"'s price?
Bellwilliam2003 S/C VibeTrim : Base, Abyss , AutoOptions: Moon & Tunes, Power Upgrades: Supercharger, Split Second A/F controller, 225/45-17, My other cars are PTE Miata, 13 Tesla S, 13 Volt, 06 997
The GM card accrual limit is $500 per year. The points expire 7 years after they were accrued on a month by month basis. Which means it could be upto $4000 dollars. For example, if you accrued $500 a year for 7 years for a total of $3500. And if you accrue another $500 on the first month following the 7 year anniversary, you would have $4000 minus whatever is expiring from first month of 7 years ago. The expired amount will be only for one month worth of earnings, not the whole year. So if you didn't start accruing points until 2nd month or later after you got your card, you would not lose anything. As for the price, I did pay "GM in the Driveway" price. The discount was $1272. So the total $ off the MSRP was $7710.Also there is a bonus of $150 in Upromise dollars. On top of that, it looks like I will get another $250 back from California since Arnold Schwartznagger signed to repeal the car tax hike on Monday. Not Bad at all!!
