Sill Decals

Post by Craigmri »

Anybody apply Ryan's Sill decals to their Vibe? I tried today but there was no way the decals would adhere to the plastic. I cleaned the plastic real well and even warmed them up to be certain(I live in FLA so as if I really need to heat anything up). I know several members have done it but I dont know how.

Apology to Ryan, I did not order the sill decals through Him rather I ordered my GENVIBE.COM decals from him. Got my suppliers crossed....It was Nathan from ImportEquipment who I got the sill decals from.

Reynoma,Even though I didnt get the decals from Grafxworks, Ryan informed me that since I used Windex to clean the plastic sills the ammonia residue "might" have inhibited the adhesive from working. I doubt this is the reason but anythings possible cause I know others have done this successfully. Personally even if they stuck well I suspect I wouldnt have them on for a long time since they will get easily scuffed and scraped and would most likely look horrible in a few months. They are normal thin decal material and probably not the best material for such an application.

That sucks, I just bought a set and was expecting something decent for the price.

Craig, the pics on nathans web page are from disney dj's vibe. e-mail him and see what he has to say. Nathan's products are very reliable I haven't heard of any complaints from matrixowners.com. nice to see another floridian on the board. And your close by too, I live in Wesley Chapel.

I have gotten the sills and the vent stickers, two sets! I think there is something wrong with them. I used the soap and the hair dryer and they will not stick! I have asked someone in the jersey area for help because i want someone else to see that they don't stick. I have the silver gt sills and the vibe and gt vents in silver, anybody want to buy them? Oh, i also have the 3rd brake like one with vibe gt on it as well.
