Since I am having a little tough time finding a Vibe with everything I want, I wanted to know how you did when you bought your Vibe.If you had any option you couldn't get when you bought your Vibe, pick the one you wanted most.
I voted for monotone. Not that I don't like the two-tone look - I just like the monotone look better. At my dealer, the only GT they had everything I wanted except the monotone. Since it is Abyss, I decided not to wait any longer. Since I drive in many "gravel" parking lots at soccer fields, I don't regret getting the two-tone one bit.
I'd like to have mono-tone too but I drive a lot on highway and some segment aren't exactly great so I think two-tone is a more ratioal choice for me.Moon-roof would've been really nice, that's the only regret I have, then again I only want the "moon" in "moon and tune"Everything else, I am very happy with.

After I had it for a little while, I realized that the option that I didn't get that I wanted and thought I had gotten but turned out I didn't was that ^&%*!!!!! AUX input on the stock radio that isnt implemented. Spent a lot of time finding out about that, probably one of the main reasons I searched out vibe forums. SO stupid to put an AUX button on the radio that does nothing. What a way to build customer satisfaction.
I actually got more on mine than I wanted. The spoiler package was on the sticker. I tried to trade them in for alarm system etc... but the dealership already had the parts for the car and wasn't willing to trade. (Even though they still had to install the package). The spoiler package has grown on my though and I like it a lot now. Sort of my SUV/Sports Car look. Probably the closest to a sports car look that I will get sense I am more a practical car owner. Also gives my car a destictive look. There was another vibe 2 tone silver car in my neigerborhood, but it didn't have spoiler package.
no AUX - see http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=910I think it applies to any except whatever uses a remote CD changer, unless it's different in the '04 models, but I doubt it.I also wanted the power package, but needed a car in a hurry because the other one died, so was limited to buying one off the lot. There were no 5 speeds with power package that any dealer could find, so I took 5 speed over power for max mpg.
They didnt have the power package when I bought mine Nor could you buy a base vibe with mono tone colors...So if they ever release any body kits for the Vibe i'm goping to have to get new fascias and stuff since i have the plastic cladding.
I wanted to get side airbags in my GT but the dealer couldn't find one anywhere. We also couldn't locate any monotone silver GT's (well, just one but the dealership that had it wouldn't trade). I thought about getting black but my previous car had been black. The rebates and bonuses were ending so I skipped the airbags and went with Lava (my third color choice). I'm glad I did. The Lava looks pretty sporty, plus I have a co-worker and a neighbor who both have silver Vibes.

Great poll..Everything was perfect in my Vibe except for the Wheels.. I really wanted alloy wheels .. I still still most dissatisfied with that part of the Vibe but because of the high prices of rims I will most likely not get them....
Salsa (2-tone) Base Automatic Vibe with Moontune package
What do you mean by power package? The 180hp 5-spd? If so than never mind lol I must have gotten mixed up with something else. I got mine in July of 2002. For some reason I thought the supercharger was availible then...my bad, never mind.

Same here!Only thing what I got for extra is the premium stereo.I don't know if it worth the extra money, because I never heard the regular stereo. But exept the wheels I am very hapy with my Vibe!
Oddly enough it seems, I got everything I would have wanted on mine. For that matter I didn't do much research on what options were available anyways. The funny thing is that I really didn't plan on getting a Vibe to begin with.About a week before I was going to buy a Protege 5, I took a Vibe GT for a test drive, just as a whim, and WHAM, I thought this is the car for me.

i really wanted a moonroof. they didn't have any with moon & tunes package that was monotone. so i took the monotone and figured i could get an a/m moonroof. besides, i want a spoiler moonroof.
I was very lucky. I wanted: Neptune Monotone, Power Package, ABS, Automatic, and WITHOUT moon and tunes. My dealer did a search and found exactly ONE in the entire state of New York. We snatched it up!! It was 200 miles away. All that matters is I got exactly what I wanted.~Sarah
Ordered mine, waited months, got exactly what I wanted. Well, mostly. I really wanted rear disk brakes on the base Vibe and would have liked a bright blue metalic paint with tan interior, but the marketing mavens stood in the way. As it is, the Lava monotone makes me grin when I see it in the sunlight, so I'm not too miffed by the lack of bright blue.
Don't worry about the rear drum brakes. Yes, rear disc brakes are nice, but unless you are on race track , drums will work fine. On Vibe, like other front wheel drive cars, most of the braking is done in front. For example, my 93 Integra still has original rear pads in the back after 130,000 miles. The fronts had to be changed a couple of times.
I was really picky about what I wanted, so I factory ordered mine. Good thing about living in the Bay Area is that it only took a month for me to get it (it's only about an hour drive from the factory to my dealer). However, when my dealer put in the order, they accidently submitted it twice, so there's a car EXACTLY like mine riding around out there somewhere.
When I went to the Pontiac dealership in Silver Spring back in May, I was *very* picky. It HAD to be monotone, it HAD to have a sunroof, it HAD to have 17" tires - you get the idea. After I told the dealer what I wanted, he said, "Give me a minute".A few minutes later, he said that he located the Abyss monotone Vibe GT that I wanted with everything plus more, like the sports package. It was up in PA, and he said he would have it soon (this was Friday evening). On Monday afternoon, I had my new Vibe! Needless to say, I got what I wanted.
I'm in the Baltimore, MD area, always on the look out for fellow Vibers.2003 Monotone Abyss GT (Hotaru) with Sports Package
