The most expensive Vibe I have ever seen!!

Post by vibeseller »

We just got a Vibe that my manager ordered from the factory for showroom stock today. I had to do a double take at the sticker!!! $35,910 (Canadian $, of course). This is the most loaded Vibe I have ever seen. It's a monotone Abyss GT with the 17" alloys, Sport Package (Moon and Tunes), Sport Appearance Package (dual rear spoilers and the lower fascia extensions), Nav System, and the rear carpeted cargo mat. WHEW!! What a list of options. WHat do you guys think?

I was playing with it and it was working great in Greater Vancouver area. I don't know how far out it would work though. We've been getting a lot of comments on it in the showroom. I'll get some pics of it and post them here so you can see what it looks like. I think the biggest impact it might have is just in showing people what all the options look like so they can pick and choose what they want on their own Vibe

Truth be told, I will probably buy this one at some point for like $100 over total cost, as is one of my perks!!! I know its a lot of money, but the options are pretty much what I would have put on anyways.

I also have a promotions company interested in leasing it for a few years as a location vehicle for a radio station here in Vancouver

What I cant figure out is how did they get Navigation with the Moon and Tunes??? I though that wasnt possible![/QUOTE]Let me let you in on an insider tip. Sometimes, salesmen who aren't completely sure that their clients will accept the truth that that particular vehicle will be available when the client wants it, they will lie and tell the client that it isn't available or even possible because it is easier than telling the truth. I take a different approach. I lay it all out for the customer and let them decide whether they want to wait for the exact car they want (which could be more than 3 months) or make a small compromise and get another vehicle which is one I can trade for.

What craigmri is talking about is the incompatibility of the 17" rims and the sunroof. Supposedly, there is too much flex in the frame of the car, and the sunroof would shatter.See this thread. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1756

Which dealership are you with? I'd still like to see the Nav system in person.I bought my monotone Neptune GT in January at Dueck Downtown, though they got it from Carter GM.

I work at Dueck Downtown - which salesman did you buy your car from? Come on by anytime and someone will be glad to show you how the system works. The uber-vibe as we like to call it, is right in the showroom.

I had heard people complain about not being able to get the 2 options together on the Matrix, but not the Vibe...interesting. I always thought it was because of incompatiblity between the packages that the sunroof and the 17" rims were part of.

quote:What I cant figure out is how did they get Navigation with the Moon and Tunes??? I though that wasnt possible!I was told was this.Moon & Tunes gives you moonroof and 200W amp. Can't get moonroof or amp features individually - only as the M&T package.Nav system gives you 6 cd under seat changer. Changer goes where the 200W amp goes, under passenger seat.Because none of these features are available independently, there's an obvious conflict: 6 CD changer and M&T amp.My suspicions: the car doesn't have M&T. They may have mistaken a 6 speaker system for a M&T package.
