New Civics

Post by fuel4soul »

What do you think about the new Civic style? My parent's friend works for Honda and told me they could give me a good deal on a new Civic sedan in that dark grey color. Not a big Honda fan but something I wouldn't be unhappy with. I kinda like the new style though... http://www.kbb.com/VehicleJPegs/BSHOCIVLXSED042.JPG

I just see myself driving the Honda. Missing my Sunfire (I know I will) and passing a Vibe regreting not getting one. Although my search for a Vibe is such a hard one, I can't seem to wait anymore on finding one. Found a used 17k miles 03 Abyss Mono, M&T, Power, 6 cd changer for $12,9k needless to say it didn't last too long. I don't like the fact that EVERYONE has a Civic but I will keep it stock, I won't even tint the windows and I can only take what gives me a good deal.

It sounds like you're just trying to get rid of the sunfire for the sake of getting rid of it. I don't get the impression you have any major problems with it. Yeah, you want a vibe. But now it sounds like you're gonna take any new car cause you had your heart set on one.My opinion. Wait another year or two. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.That' just my opinion.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

i don't know. i think i'd have to agree w/ raging. might be better to keep what you got rather than trading it in for more debt and NOT what you really want. be content you even have a car! there are plenty of people that would love to have a nice little car like your sunfire. i agree w/ silver that the honda's a better vehicle, but if you really want a vibe.... then patience it key. something i've learned over the few years: don't settle. you won't be happy and will regret it later.

Fuel, you might want to hang on to that sunfire as long as it is running. Civics are good cars, but they are plain and boring, and have crappuy options. Why do you think they are so cheap? If your sunfire is still running great, I would highly recommend holding on to it until you can get the car you really want. When I got my first NEW car, it wasn't what I really really wanted. After a year of driving it, I was so mad at myself everytime I sat down in it for not getting what I really wanted. And besides, do you want to drive an ugly, overhyped, way too common, boring econobox for the next 3 years or so? I certainly don't. It does sound like you have the new car itch, because my senior year in highschool, I had the same symptoms you have right now. Just wait it out and you'll get your hands on a vibe. I had to wait until my lease was up before I could get mine, 3 months longer then I really wanted to wait, but as soon as they offered an early lease pull-out, I took it and got my Vibe.

I still like my Sunfire alot, Never had problems but flat tires cause of nails or screws. Im sure you all knew that I start college in Janruary and my grandpa is giving my a reasonable amount of money to put down on a different new/used car, He's coming here on Thanksgiving so we can go look. I don't want a payment over $150 after I put the down payment down and unless it's a used Vibe, That's the only way to get it and I can't seem to find any. I wouldn't be unhappy with a Civic either.By the way, Does anyone watch the Price is Right? There was a Fusion Orange Vibe some person won, If I was on that show I would have nailed the price on the dollar and drove it home lol.

hmm, I guess I WOULD be unhappy with it. I test drove one and, bleh! Typical Honda,...Uncomfortable flat seats and an underpowered engine. Nix that idea. My dad steered me over to the Cruisers, I test drove one and I liked it ok, but not something I would want when I could get a Vibe for the same price. Could is the key word, Finding one is the problem. If the rebate is 2k now, and my GM Supplier Certifcate knocks off $1000 then I could get a reasonable deal if I could find a dealer that will get close to my 7k mark on my upside down Sunfire. Anyone know of any other options of getting rid of a vehicle? Trying the online ads, and parking it still, Has been online since June. I don't know any other way to try and get it off my hands. But atleast one good thing came out of it, I know exactly what car I want now
