Ordered Injen CAI for Vibe base

Post by shibaman »

PTuning has the Injen CAI in stock for $221 shipped. Got one ordered from them. I hope that I don't have any problems on the install. Now I can have one that will be smog legal some day.

I have one on my base 5-speed. Best $225 mod you can do. Sounds nice also. You'll like it.

I've read in several threads that Injen has developed a Vibe specific CAI. I saw on ptunings site that the Matrix and Vibe CAI's have different PN's. Does this mean the Vibe unit is available? If this is what you ordered I would be curious to hear how your install compares to the Matrix-CAI-on-a-Vibe installs detailed in other threads. In truth, I'm more intrested in maintenance than install challenges.

Yes it is a different part# and different intake. It looks like it will set up higher than the one for the Toyota. I don't think that maintanance will be a problem if you take it off from underneath the car.

Beat a Lumina last night. Seemed kinda surprised. At the next light he said he didn't notice the Injen Sticker. You'll love it! Easy install took about 45 minutes. I spent more time trying to figure out which vacuum line was which... the B&W pics made it rough. Good Luck
