Insurance

Post by mu_ohio »

I was wondering how I should handle my insurance since I'll be turning 25 in 5 days. My next payment is at the end of the month, but do you think I will have to remind them of my age or will they adjust? How much of a difference will it make?

No, you shouldnt have to remind them...they have your info. It should take at least 15% off your payments, but it depends on your company. I checked tons of companies and even different agents of the same insurance. Different agents make a difference? The company says no, but I say yes!Nationwide Quote for 6 monthsdealer 1- 1299dealer 2-1400dealer 3-929dealer 4-702 Fact is different places dont always have the same system for calculating the quote...even as the same company. If your company doesnt stack up to a new company you call....... you know what to do.

The cheapest I found was Progressive so far at $574 for 6 months. This is following the same deductible and coverage that I currently have. Allstate for the same coverage quoted me $1100 for 6 months which is a lot higher. These have all been internet quotes though, but I will go to my agent after my birthday.

It should make a difference. I know from 20 to 21 my 6-month premium went down by 1/2. I pay about $600.00 every 6-months with a $250.00 deductible. Nationwide Insurance.

Yeah...Nationwide has been great for me. I had Progressive, which is the cheapest insurance out there if you have a bad record. But their service sucked. Nationwide gave me discounts on my house and auto for being Air Force also.
