Thanks for the cool link!The police in my area also do something like that, but not quite so nicely done.The Fire Dept. that I belong to recently got a new (hand-me-down) Ford police interceptor for the Chief to drive around in for inspections and alarms. I'm trying to get the majority of the department behind me in setting it up for racing and shows. Any sugestions?

I have been trying for about 4 years to get a car/program like this running in my area. It took a guy in Ontario and several high profile deaths etc. due to street racing for the car comunity to step on board. I would suggest talking with local car clubs etc especially SCAA clubs. Also talk to your local tuners and proformance shops. Everything on the car we have is donated.... I am getting a DVD player installed soon free from a local audio shop... all they ask in return is to place a small decal on teh car. Another shop is installing a CIA for free same request a small decal. Hope to have several other mods done in the next few months all free from local dealers..... The car is taken to schools, community events and car shows etc to promote safe racing practices and to form a relationship between the police and the car enthusiats....The province of Alberta has a similar program that has been running for several years... I believe it is called keeping it off the streets.... Can get the exact name if you like.... They have a fully functioning promod racer... done up as a police car......
