winter has offically come to my fair city with a nice icy glaze from snow flurries all weekend long and the promise of 2" inches to come tonite....this is where our lil awd's shine...while others are spinning their wheels haplessly at intersections, my lil vib spins a couple of revolutions then hooks up and goes....the awd is a very good system and if i had studded tires on instead of the stock conti's, nothing could stop me...i'd be an icy hell on wheels!!!!!!hehehehehehahahahah!!! god i love this time of year!!!!
LOL@JoatI'd love to flog an AWD Vibe in a foot of snow and see how it goes. Being I love in sunny Florida that'll happen as soon as the Bengals win a superbowl.Craig
sorry to hear taht red. glad you like the snow and ice. i'm in sunny hawaii this week and snow is the farthest from my mind but, it's coming for us in Anchortown very soon. I'm expecting it while i'm gone. you can see the termination dust on the mountains creeping lower and lower every day.

f*ck it! no need to slow down, just go around the guy in front of you who is stuck! i have to say, awd is definitely fun in the snow. try the doughnuts, they are fantastic.

agreed, but Control IS the most important part of winter driving......IF you are in control of your car, actions and thinking then everything else falls into place..been driving in these conditions for a lllooooonnnnnggggg time (29years) and i know a good awd when i drive it and as i stated if i had studs on this thing, i'd be an icy hell on wheels!!!!!....dv, i've never tried doing doughnuts in this car, have to try than somewhere...sounds fun!!!
just find a big unplowed parking lot and have a blast. it's a strange sensation, different from that of a rear drive. i agree w/you about the studs, with those, stopping wouldnt be so bad

Well, we're not far behind on the snow fall, I expect. A winter storm warning has been issued, and they are threatening a foot of snow to start falling at midnight. The AWD holds the road really well. I had a couple of instances last year where the highway was backed up (because they closed it) and when we got going it was bumper to bumper at 15 mph. A semi in front of me would just start sliding sideways, but I never had a problem. I should be in fine shape, especially with my new tires!
