Weird one. wrong starter for 2006 vibe sent. Can't return it. Can I use it?

Hi all.

Weird one. wrong starter for 2006 vibe sent by ebay aftermkt seller. Can't return it since I was out of town immediately for a few months after I got it. when I took apart my vibe starter the connections looked different. See photo. The post is not the same (a little wider) and the plug in thingy does not fully seat when plugged in. I maybe able to modify the plugs a little .... but Can I use it modified or is it unsafe?

The other question I have is I used ebay's car identifier and the seller showed it would fit my vibe. What car starter did I get? Anyone recognize it as for a newer year?

I wouldn't use it. I definitely would not modify the male connector.

I'd also question the overall quality of a starter that cost less than $50. But that depends on how important it is that it works--where will the driver get stuck?
