Front window regulator and run channel weather strip

Post by 455SD »

Hi,
Can anyone please confirm if a LF power window regulator and window run channel
from a 2004 Toyota Matrix will work correctly on our 2004 Vibe?

The front glass attaching nut came loose on my wife’s car and it appears
the regulator arms are bent as well as channel strip being twisted and torn.

Looking for options :)

TIA

A bad time of year to have window issues

There was a recall on the 03-04s for that nut coming loose, might be worth looking up your VIN at NHTSA to se if it was ever addressed. If not, I suppose there might be some remote chance you could get GM to pay for the repairs.

While I have never personally swapped a Matrix regulator into a Vibe, I would totally expect them to be interchangeable.

Here is the one I installed in my 04 a few years ago, says it's compatible with both Vibe and Matrix.

Thanks guys!

By any chance do you have any guidance on where the best place to get the glass run channel weather strip would be?

Toyota still lists one for the first gen Matrix, so I am thinking it should work?
Pricey though.

Amazon shows Corolla available from non oem. Priced better though.

I got mine replaced at the Toyota dealer many years ago. I went in to ask about it, the parts guy actually went out and installed it on my door for me. Pretty awesome, but yes I would think the Matrix one would work.
