fwiw, even the wayback machine doesn't have a copy of cohocarl's pictures, and since he hasn't posted in 15 years, it seems unlikely that he'll be back to repost them but if anyone does add trailer wiring to a Vibe, take and post pictures.

Quick tip: in an older Vibe (aren’t they all?) Use a M12X1.25mm Spiral Point Tap with some Wd40 to clear the threads before installation.
when I put a hitch on an 03, I didn't know where to get a tap to clean out the threads, so I took one of the mounting bolts and cut some slots in the end with a hacksaw. Not as efficient as a real tap, had to back it out and clean the slots a few times per hole, but then just used it as one of the mounting bolts when the holes were clean.
