Rear Parking Brake Cables for 2009 Pontiac Vibe 2.4L AWD

Post by phendri »

GM/AC Delco has discontinued supporting rear left and right cable parts (19184311 and 19184312) for this Vibe model type. Unfortunately, the 2009 Matrix AWD uses different cables hence I am wondering if anyone has been able to find another supplier/part number that would be a direct fit for my 2009 Pontiac Vibe 2.4 L AWD? Wondering if anyone having similar problem tried using a universal parking brake cable (cut to size and correct ending type) as an alternative? If so.........can you specifiy which universal cable worked for your car?

FYI......Car needs to pass inspection hence parking brake needs to work as part of inspection.

Just a follow up to the question I asked to the community........My mechanic was able to install the Raybestos BC97355 and BC9356 cables successfully so that Vibe now passes inspection.

hadn't said it before, so

Welcome to GenVibe!

Great twice, once that you got the car to pass inspection and I hope it gives you years or service, and second that you posted the solution so others can benefit.
