Hi guys, My daily driver 2005 vibe's engine coolant light went out, it appears the red line still works. How would I go about fixing it, and is it worth it? Photo attached!

(it was working this morning, and I will say the weather & sun have been hot today so that might be related?)
I do not think its worth it. I've looked at the clusters and the back lights are really not accessible, unless you take it completely apart. It may be that the lights are soldered in and not plug in, never got that far into one to see.
If it were me, I might put some white lines on the front of that gauge, expecting the orange meter movement to light them up enough to see. That wouldn't be too hard.
1. set the steering column all the way down.
2 remove the trip meter reset knob by just pulling it straight out
3. remove the cluster trim by just pulling it straight out
4. unscrew the phillips screw in the top center of the cluster, The cluster will pivot back away from that screw, instead of the screw coming out.
5. pop the cluster out of the two clips holding it on the bottom.
6. curse as you try to find a way to maneuver the cluster to pull it forward out of the hole. You may need to curse some more to undo the electrical connectors on the top of the cluster, you may be able to pull it out while still connected, can't remember.
7. either way, undo the connectors and get it free.
8. unhook the ten or so tabs to pull the front smoked plastic cover off the front of the cluster
9. do magic artwork to make the cluster range visible without backlight. Some white paint, white tape, white out, something the needle can light up
10. reverse the steps to get it back together
alternatively, instead of pulling the cluster, you could just use a flashlight to see where the lines on the temp gauge are, and put some marks on the outside of the plastic gauge cover
