ill be going on a long trip in the next couple months. we'll go from WA straight across to Sioux Falls, SD, then head down to Denver, CO and then back up to WA. the trip should be well over 3K miles. any suggustions in what i should do with the vibe before and/or during the trip? i am hoping the winter weather isnt to bad thru the mountains. i will be taking my low profile 17 in tires off and will put back on my factory 16's. also an oil change will occur before i leave....anything else?

Another coat of wax - at least on the front, RAIN-X the windows, and double check the tire pressures.Sounds like a nice trip, the scenery should be great!
i have a 16inch full size steel wheel that i take with me....it takes up quite a bit of trunk room but i take out the regular spare and use that area as storage space for stuff so it evens out. take a pair of work gloves, a blanket, and a crappy raincoat.....you never know when you could be pushing or working on the car or changing flat tires etc etc...if you dont have one its a good idea to pick up one of those road hazard folding triangles to warn traffic if you have to be changing tires on the side of the road.....especially at night b/c they are reflective.pack some basic tools....its really irritating to be disabled on the road just b/c you didnt have a socket, wrench, or screwdriver on you.thats all i can think of for now....have a great trip!

beer. lots of beer. might go ahead and throw in some hard liquor too. if you have time, i guess you should go ahead and take the forementioned steps as well.

yes, meat! you definitley want tools! i'd also suggest a first aid kit just in case. lots of music and one of those plug in coolers too keep soda and food cold. will help alleviate cost of stopping and paying way too much for a drink... plus you'll be able to get there faster. have a fun trip, take some pics and post them later! oh ya, say hi to the folks too! as stated in a previous conversation, you're the only one i know from SD!
