End of an era (said goodbye to my '09 Vibe)

Post by ponta2147 »

Logged back into the forums to celebrate the end of an era for me. I have finally let go of my Vibe (got a 2025 Ford Escape PHEV in order to haul around our new baby and embrace a quasi-electric future). Bought this car brand new in '09 when I was 23, my first ever car, and now as I let it go as I am about to turn 39 I close the chapter on the longest lasting thing in my life (so far). It has had a lot of love over the years and got me through many things and to many places.

I am feeling nostalgic about all the time I spend in these forums all those years ago, and the people I got to meet in real life because of this car.

I am really happy that I was able to sell my car to a fellow Vibe/Matrix enthusiast and friend of mine, who I know will take great care of it for years to come (and appreciates the mods and upgrades that were done). And the genvibe.com sticker has survived!

Damm girl ... you're getting old  I certainly have no room to talk. Retired two years ago and went on Medicare last year

So good to finally hear from you again after all these years and glad to see you're entering a new chapter in your life. I see the custom HMBL that I made for several of us 2nd gen Vibes, is still there and working great! I only completed SIX of these so they are very rare to say the least. Your new ride looks nice and I hope it does well in the harsh Minnesota winters that you guys brutally have almost every winter. Stop in every now & then to see what we're up to. Good luck on future parenting and enjoy life to the fullest .............. Tim
