Complete Loss of Power

Post by poontiacvibe »

Hey guys,
I have a 2009 Pontiac Vibe 2.4l with a maybe one year old battery. I was driving and all of a sudden when I stopped I lost all power to everything in the car. Checked the battery connections, hooked charging cables up, nothing I do can make the car even act like it has any power going to it whatsoever. At this point I'm just trying to get rid of this thing but it's going to be hard to sell if I can't even get power to the car in order to display mileage. Any idea what could be going wrong? Thanks

I don't know much about the electrical power distribution on the 09-10's.

Maybe check the other (non-battery) ends of the battery cables to make sure they are clean and secure. Perhaps there is a blown fusible link between the battery and the fuse box.

Do things like horn and hazard lights work? If they do but turning the key does nothing, then maybe its a bad ignition switch
