Motivx MX2320 oil filter wrench for 03 1.8L 1ZZ?

Post by mntn-biker »

Anyone know if the Motivx MX2320 OF wrench works on a Toyota 90915-YZZN1 (90915-YZZF2) oil filter? Their website claims 2009-2017 Corolla model years.

Mountain man .... YES that filter wrench will work. It will likely be an exact fit if not a bit snug. The wrench I have is 0.7mm bigger (65mm instead of 64.3) and is slightly sloppy/lose. Go for it and let us know how it works out! Looks like a much better quality made tool anyways. ;)

I tighten my filter as much as I can by hand only, and they come off by hand as well. Have never had a leak. One time I though I did on the 04 Frosty but it turned out to be a bad sending unit and not the filter. I don't really have all that strong of a grip, but it seems like a filter wrench is just going to cause over tightening.
