‘03 Vibe with 317k and still going.............................
quote:I have been checking the Matchbox website about once a week. Today the results came back positive. From what their website says, it is out. Take a look at the link. http://www.matchbox.com/us/product.asp? ... type_id=17 I might have to stop by the store on the way home! SCORE! Picked up TWO yesterday at my least favorite retailer Wal-Mart yesterday for $0.84 each.Looks like the picture from their website except for the large logo on the front door and the front windows are open. Also, as rumored, it does have "Vibe GT" on the doors but it's nearly impossible to read on one of mine due to the thick paint. Thick paint? That's not very realistic! Flip it over and ... Who'd of guessed ... it's a GT with AWD. !?!
I was just walking around Steubenville, OH Super Walmart, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a slight sliver glimmer. Running to the item, i realized i got one for only .82 cents!!!!! I want a couple more, but that was it. I'm still glad i got one.
Found the Matchbox Vibe in Cedar Rapids this week. The price was 86 cents at Wal-Mart. Have patience -- these are coming.(And no I didn't drive from Pennsylvania to Iowa.)
Chris W.2003 Vibe GT -- Six-Speed, Salsa, and Slate
Maybe somebody else was also watching for them, and bought all of them when they went on the opposite days that you went. I happened to find them at WalMart and bought everyone of them!
i bought one saturday at kb toys for .89, my daughter said but its not white and gray like yours, i said thats okay, she then suggested that she could fix that color, i said yeah okay not thinking that she was serious........it is now white w/black on the bottom (sigh !)...she's nine years old and loves her mom....she told me the paint was washable crayola brand paint....i think i'll buy another one just for safe keeping to go along with the "white" one LOL

it's supposed to be like the fx model. i just got it in yesterday. will be a christmas present for my dad. he'll get bored with it in an hour and then it'll be mine.
I picked up two Saturday. One for my son who loves Daddy's car (and thinks it's his ) and one for me still in the package. $0.82 each at Meijer and got an additional 10% off came to a whopping $0.74! I can't believe how much those were going for on Ebay.

yay! i finally found one at walmart tonight! went over and took a look. what do you, it's the first one on the rack. of course, it was also the only one there...
I just got one at Target. it's a matchbox showcase collectibles series. it has a lot more detail. such as taillights and turn signals. it also has goodyear tires and different rims. it even has tire treads. here's a pic
No way! I thought it was only available in the regular series. I just found one at WalMart a while back. I also found the YatMing big diecast at Big Lots for $12.99. Great. Now I have something new to look for!
I was able to find one of the larger GT-R Diecasts in yellow, so it's cool. I also found two of the Matchbox Showcase Vibe GT's at a Target in my area. I would be willing to part with one of them if somebody wanted one and wanted to buy one off of me. Just let me know and we can work something out.

YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
i sprayed some grey primer in the paint can lid and used a tooth pick to paint it. (on the clock) hehehe. i hope my boss doesn't see this. he has a vibe too.
If anyone lives near Walt Disney World (or vactions there), check the Test Track shop at Epcot...they have a ton of GM diecast there including the 1/18 scale Vibe GTR. I picked up one in red. They also had a bunch of old firebirds, camaros, and a 1/18 scale Hummer H2.
I just ordered the Yat Ming 1/18th scale Vibe from http://WWW.DIECASTCARMODELS.COM out of Vegas. Much cheaper than that Pontiac mall site. $20 plus shipping. They give you a choice of red or yellow.
I found mine at Big Lots here in Billings. It's not certain that it would be there in all of them since the stock varies by location, but that's where I found mine.
Just joined the GenVibe forum a few days ago, and read the Matchbox Vibe thread. I found two of them at my local Walmart at US$0.82 each! Gotta get some Salsa touchup paint and get to work.
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
