I've kinda brought this up in the other forum about the vibe, but as this is off topic and I just wanted some information I thought I would post it here. I'm fairly new to the whole "leasing" thing and my lease is up in October on my Cavalier. I want to lease a Vibe after that. Now I've read that the waiting period for a vibe is 4 or 5 months so if I have to wait to get my Vibe (I should probably see about ordering one now I guess) does anyone know if GM will let me keep the Cavalier until the Vibe comes in? This is probably a stupid question, but I just want to have some idea before I go to dealerships. Thanks

From what information I know, once your lease is up, it's up. The dealer will give you an option to buy the car after your lease expires, but I don't think they would 'extend' the lease a couple or so months. You could always opt to buy the Cavalier after the lease is over (if you still haven't received your Vibe), and then either sell it yourself or trade it in on the Vibe.Hope this helps somewhat from what I was told about leasing.Definately up to hearing more replies and opinions on this topic!

Well I'm optimistic after reading in the 4 months for a vibe topic in the other discussion forum that someone posted their lease ends this month but they called GMAC and had it extended until end of August (when their Vibe is supposed to be ready). I'm hopefully going to start this whole process of ordering this week. Maybe by the time my lease is up they'll have speeded things up!
