2010 vibe Fuel gauge stuck on empty

Hello, I recently bought a used 2010 vibe 1.8L manuel transmission and the gas gauge is stuck on empty. I thought changing the sending unit would fix the problem, but after replacing the whole fuel pump, the gauge is still stuck on empty.

Does anyone know what could be the source of the problem? cheers
