Wheel Opinions...

Post by ragingfish »

Ok, I've decided I'm definitely going to get new wheels.Steelies are ok. But cool wheels are better. I've narrowed it down to four wheels. You can view my picks, and their specs, at: http://www.ragingfish.com/wheelsWhile each is available in several sizes, I expect I will stay with a 16" wheel, just because I don't think I can afford tires and wheels right now. But, I'm still flexible -- if I can find a great deal on a wheel/tire combo, I'll go for it.On that page, I also posted links of what the wheels would look like on my Vibe (except for one, because that wheel wasn't in their system to superimpose on the vibe...)Let me know what y'all think!

The VOXX would look t$t$. They would blend with the color of the vibe. They all look good so out of the 4 you can't go wrong.
Just here to lend a hand to people who have questions about their Vibe.

OK.. assuming it were me purchasing wheels for my Vibe I would on the scale of 1-10 I would rate:Sting = 8 I like the aluminum design simple but stylishApex = 6 1/2 I like it but the design seems too busyMatrix = 5 the spokes are a little thin for my taste, I would consider painting the calipersMGR = 4 I don't like the color or style

The Voxx are my choice. First of all, you have a fine selection of 5 spoke wheels there. I always liked 5 spoke ones the best. The Voxx, with the "flat front" look are my choice.

The voxx do it for me. Not too lite looking and great style for a Vibe.

HI...I kinda like the Apex... Looks a bit like the Moda R6 which I've seen on a Mustang and looks very nice. I also like the 5 spoke look but will probably end up with a split 5 spoke. Gives a slightly different look.Dave

Looking at the wheel all by itself, I like the Sting best, but when you put it on the car, I think the Matrix really roxx!

Was just informed by discount tire that the Voxx MGR is a discontinued style. If I'm gonna get it, I gotta act fast while they still have it. ARGH! I'm not ready to commit! EEEEK!

The two I like best are the Apex and then the Sting. Hey Raging, did you see wheelmax.com's sale? I'm thinking about purchasing some new wheels and tires too since my Continentals are wearing out. They are having a pretty good sale right now. You can get 17's for $660 with tires mounted and balanced or 18's for $860, depending on models, but those are the prices of the ones I'm looking at. If you don't mind, can you check out the pics I just posted and let me know what you think? Thanks,
