Our Vibe engine with about 230K miles just died. Will only run a few minutes, some nasty noise coming near top end of engine. 5spd car, good body, bought new in vermont. It's more of a project than I can take on. What would be a fair asking price as a parts car or candidate for engine swap?

Most vehicles with a non-running engine will be the $500-750 range, honestly.
