We are planning on going. I've heard it is extremely violent. Is this too out there for us to take a 14yr old?

it is very violent. I dunno depends on how you are i mean there is lots of ninja type fights, some rape, the violence is very styleized when people get ther heads cut off blood sprays and gushes up to the ceiling. If you let the kid watch pulp fiction this should be ok.

DO NOT TAKE your 14 year old... It is VERY violent..... Unlike any violence you would normally see in a typical american movie

Pulp Fiction would be a bit much. We're somewhat old fashioned in some respects The previews on TV look like it's a charlies Angels violence type movie. Looks like it will be my wife and I on this one.

Absolutely brilliant. Recommend to see this movie a little bit high if you're so inclined and have the means. The music is excellent. I like the Charlie's Angels violence type movie description. But Kill Bill is much better than CA.

I saw the movie last night and it was sweet. Although I don't remember any actual rape scenes, but they did talk about it in the hospital. Anyhow, GREAT MOVIE

As a parent they have a right to decided whats good and what isn't.I saw nightmare on Elm street when I was really young and it SCARE the SH&T out of me but I consider myself normal even at this age. I would never let a child of mine see that unless I am 100% confident that they would be equipt with the knowledge of what is real and what isn't and beyond that there are standards (loose standards I have to admit) that we should at least as adults follow IE not taking a child to see a nc-17 film. Like I said this is a differnet sort of violence.. SPLATTER BLOOD, EYEs being gouged out... Heads being chopped off.. This is some bloody stuff.. evenm the animated bits were pretty bloody...Oh well...its all good... anyway.. I am not here to judge or anything but I was thinking about the post refering to getting high.. This is the first time I saw mention of any sort of illegal drugs (again I am not one to judge) but I am assuming your stance on drug use should be legal or liberal. is that why you are so comfortable with mentioning drug use? Do you ever get any sort of backlash when you talk about drug use?Oh well.. just curious.. don't want to start any flame wars cuz I love you all too muchg as Vibers to do that

You'll notice the person who posted that idea is also from Canada, where it is now legal.

Hmmmm medicinal. i believe they may have lowered offenses for posession to a simple fine. it seems obvious that anyone who partakes would be an advocate for marijuana legalization. those who smoke don't tend to be ashamed of it and talk about it freely. most feel they are doing nothing wrong. boy i could go on and on about legalization...

i hate when governments try to make laws where it's not illegal to smoke, just illegal to posess. kind of redundant?-we are officially off topic in the off topic forum!

HOLY SMokes that was some powerful stuff...Yes indeed. Especially when she came out of the coma after 4 years and everything that happened 4 years ago was like it just happened seconds ago in her mind. It looked very believable and real. Now I know why QT waited for her to be available before he would start shooting 'Kill Bill'. She's right up there with Halle Berry in 'Monster's Ball'.

Bud in Canada has been (or will soon be) 'DECRIMINALIZED'. It is in the same league as getting a speeding ticket. No criminal record for being in possesion of 30g or less. Over 30g and you're a dealer. BTW, next day after seeing the movie and I'm still thinking about it. That's one sign of a good movie. All the movie reviewers who are giving Kill Bill bad reviews just don't get it. When does Volume 2 get released? I can't wait.

Just a nice light buzz (I prefer to eat it, I'll never smoke it again). I don't want to give everyone the impression that I'm a dope head, cuz I'm not. I just eats a smidge before movies and also listening to music, to enhance the experience. The difference is incredible. You see and hear things that I'm sure you would not otherwise and appreciate the whole experience much more. Only when I'm not planning on being around people. Nobody gets hurt, so what's the harm? (That's not a question, I don't want to start a debate about the morality of bud. I really don't care what others think about it).

We do take her to "R" rated movies depending on why it is rated as such. Pulp Fiction or Fight Club would not be on the list. I found fight Club emotionally disturbing.

It varies wildly, depending on the potency of the weed and how much love was baked into it. You really don't need to eat a lot. Maybe a quarter of a cookie. You must be careful to not eat too much of course. When you eat it, there is quite a long delay (about an hour), before the desired effect. Don't be tempted to eat more because you think it's 'not working'. That's how train wrecks happen. Out of respect, I suggest we take this type of discussion to Private Messages in the future.

Just got back from seeing Kill Bill. What the hell was that I just saw? I have to admit that I was entertained and I did enjoy the movie. I have to see part 2 just to see how this plays out. Uma was excellent.QT must have developed a warped mind from watching the wrong movies in his early teens As far as taking my 14 yr old daughter to this movie, I'm glad we didn't. The blood and violence was obviously fake and exaggerated as it was intended. Quite funny at times. It almost had as much obscenity as a good rap CD. It is not a movie with any value for teen girls. I think girls are a bit more mature and would not enjoy the movie. The boys her age would enjoy the language, unsuccessful rape and fight scenes.
