What's withall tha popups?

I use the google toolbar with the popup blocker and I can't view a page without the blocker chalking up another blocked popup. It works great in that you don't get the popup but it clicks every time it blocks one. I guess I'll have to disable the sound.

Genvibe doesn't run pop-ups. I have my blocker set to allow anything from Genvibe, and never have any. The only pop-up that Genvibe has is the IM window. That one you'd want to allow. Sounds to me like you have some adware on your computer that is responding to some content contained within Genvibe. Probably sees something car related and is offering car ads. I suspect this might be a result of the Google syndicated banner ads at the top of the page. I've had them trigger adware popups in the past from other pages (blogspot hosted weblogs in particular).Try downloading Spybot Search and Destroy from:http://www.safer-networking.org/Or Ad-Aware from:http://www.lavasoftusa.com/Even try both of them. They often catch one or two items different than each other. These tools should get rid of any adware on your computer and will hopefully resolve your issues.

Thanks for the help. I turned the blocker off and it was an IM that kept trying to display every time I went to a new page. Now that I've viewd the IM screen it works like it always did. I'm not much of an IM or chat room kinda guy.

Ahh, well that'll do it. Glad it's working at any rate. I had something on my PC at one point that would pop up and ad for some online auto sales place everytime I visited the page. Turned out to be adware that piggybacked in with a program I downloaded and was reacting to the page I happened to be on. I guess that's one advantage to the Mac. Adware doesn't exist for it just yet. Well, glad you got your problem solved and at least it was just the innocent IM window.

I bet another member is sending you a IM (popup) and it's not allowing it to go through.Whats nice about Google toolbar is when you turn your popup blocker off it's only for this site.
