New Car battery slightly smaller

Post by Xebaxtien »

I bought a new battery for my 07 vibe, its slightly smaller than the original. I was wondering if that could be an issues or not? it shakes abit in the battery rack, If it isn't a problem I thought I would secure it with a piece or rubber or something like that.

thanks

The battery hold-down should be able to hold it in place, just snug up the bolt.

Series 35 battery is pretty small. What did you replace it with? :?

I don't have the specifics on the battery, but I tighted everything down and its not secured. but I went to the garage and they said it was the right battery just slightly smaller so I put some pieces of wood and now it doesn't move anymore

Break out the tape measure and see how wide you can go. Then stop into the store any measure up the max battery size you can fit. You might need to temporarily remove the battery to get a good look at the clearance. But you should be able to go bigger
