Your price difference for premium gas?

Post by tgsnellg75 »

Premium (93 octane) runs about 50 cents a gallon more than regular (87) here in TX. I was wondering what the difference is in some other parts of the country.

That's pretty close to what I see. At the Valero station in Houston I go to a lot, 87 regular has been about $1.75, 89 Plus about $1.98 and 93 Premium about $2.21 the past few weeks. Since my 03 GT uses 91, I mix 89 and 93 and save about $1.25 per fill up over 93 only.

I pay $0.50 more for Shell 93 here locally. Costco probably the cheapest around at only $0.37 extra for 93. Others are somewhere in the range of 40 cents.
