As long as you cut the right wire...nothing. Although I also went a step further and disabled the automatic headlight sensor. That thing went off in the slightest bit of shade and driving the roads in New England you get a lot of shade spots. So I just disabled it. If they only had a sensitivity adjuster like my family's old 1989 Ford Crow Victoria Country Squire LTD station wagon. Automatic headlights with an adjustable knob depending on how dark it was outside.

I was about to get a pair of X-TremeVision from Philips but I'm concerned on the wattage for their 9003... 67/60..

I've been browsing to get these bulbs in Canada.. it's next to impossible unless I import them.. Where the source of those Philips bulbs in Canada?

I am growing tired of the HIDs in our Vibes, so I have been reading up on halogen lighting options on The Candle Power Forums. During my reading, I have come across information on the newest version of the HIR2 (#9012) bulb, the HIR2 +30 (the +30 comes from the fact that it supposedly produces up to 30% more light than the HIR2). Coincidentally enough, it's available from GM. The part number is: #23342527. GMPartsCenter.net has them for $14.21 a piece. I am seriously considering ordering these for the low beams of both our Vibes and getting the HIR1 (#9011) bulbs for the high beams.

Anyway, just thought I'd add this information here in case anyone else is interested in giving them a try. I will be sure and post thoughts, pictures, etc. if and when I get them.
