"Normal" idle for a 2005 Vibe?

My mechanic, after doing some work ie cleaning MAF and replacing the intake manifold gasket, thinks the idle is too high ie 1200 rpm.

What is considered the usual idle for an 05 MT VIBE?

If the engine is warmed to normal operating temp, my 2005 base Vibe idles at 700 rpm and consumes around 0.16 gph of fuel. That is with an automatic transmission and not in gear. In gear it will be lower.

Of course at cold start it will idle 1,200 or higher and drops down toward the 700 rpm as it warms up.
