Driver's window regulator loose. Manual. 2005 Vibe.

Howdy. There are about 156 hits when I search window regulator but I haven't found any that show what it looks like. My front windows on both sides are loose. They bind a bit going up and down, lots of slop in the crank mechanism.

I had the inner door panel off once and there didn't seem to be any way to see inside to sort out what is loose and I'm a tad leery of sticking my fingers in the scissor mechanism. Lol...

I'd like to know what may be worn or loose in there and seeing what the mechanism looks like would help a lot.

Anyone have pics? There were links in some older threads but they come up 404 now.

When the door skin is off, there should be an access panel that comes off to allow better access. Look for a plate held on by screws. Start by finding all the mounting points and see if they're firmly attached. Then make sure the glass is attached correctly....there are 2 tabs glued to the bottom of the glass that are known to come loose.
